GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering)

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all-India 
examination administered and conducted jointly by the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Institute_of_Science" target="_blank">Indian Institute of Science</a> and seven <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Institutes_of_Technology" target="_blank">Indian Institutes of Technology</a> on behalf of the 
National Coordinating Board - GATE, Department of Education, Ministry of
 Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The GATE 
committee, which comprises of representatives from the administering 
institutes, is the sole authority for regulating the examination and 
declaring the results. <br />These technical institutes take turns to conduct the examination each 
year. The GATE examination for the year 2013 is conducted by IIT, 
Bombay. The variation in rules for the examination is finalized by the 
conducting institute. There are changes every year in this regard which 
is good as for one, it prevents the system being redundant and second, 
it caters to a broad spectrum of candidates. The aim of any alteration 
introduced in comparison to the previous years is that it suits the 
changing dynamic environment and favors more people.</span></span></div>

Mainly the exam is the kind of entrance exam for getting admitted into various postgraduate courses like M Tech,M.S. M.Des, PhD in IITs and IISc Bangalore though  most of the other prestigious colleges including NITs and IIITs  make use of GATE in anyway  to enroll students in their various programmes .</span></span><br />

 during Masters programmes and in some cases during direct Doctoral 
programmes in Engineering/Technology/Architechture, and Doctoral 
programs in relevant branches of Science in an Institution supported by 
the MHRD or other Government organizations.  To avail the financial 
assistance (scholarship), the candidate must first secure admission to a
 programme in these Institutes, by a procedure that could be different 
for each institute.  Qualification in GATE is also a minimum requirement
 to apply for various fellowships awarded by many Government 
organizations.</span></span><br />

In terms of battery life, both, in my experience, last a similar period of time but the iPhone is often just ahead. If you need to instantly access bus timetables, they’re in both too. Both deals are via Carphone Warehouse on a two-year contract. Network prices vary, but the differential remains; free phones for both on Vodafone, for instance, make the iPhone £10 per month more expensive.</span></div>

Money vs Happiness.

<i><span style="line-height: 1.24;">If you had to choose between a job that made you happy doing what you loved</span><span style="line-height: 1.24;"> </span><span style="line-height: 1.24;">or</span><span style="line-height: 1.24;"> </span><span style="line-height: 1.24;">a job that paid more but made you unhappy which would you like to opt?</span></i></h4>

<span style="line-height: 1.24;">The answer would be different for different persons.Most of us will choose the first option and most of rest will choose the later one. But my take is that </span><span style="line-height: 19px;">before</span><span style="line-height: 1.24;"> going for any final decision we should think that why we need money?  Everyone wants to be happy in his/her life and that the reason one works so hard in life to get more and more money because it is the conception set in our mind that more money means more happiness.</span></div>

<span style="line-height: 1.24;">Its true </span><span style="line-height: 19px;">up to</span><span style="line-height: 1.24;"> some extent also. Without money how would you be able to </span><span style="line-height: 19px;">fulfill</span><span style="line-height: 1.24;"> you basic needs , how would you ensure your children's future and there are many more basic things which requires money. Money and happiness have relationship of direct </span><span style="line-height: 19px;">proportionality</span><span style="line-height: 1.24;"> till all your basic needs gets </span><span style="line-height: 19px;">fulfilled</span><span style="line-height: 1.24;">. One should work hard enough also to achieve all this also.</span></div>

<span style="line-height: 1.24;">But once all these needs are </span><span style="line-height: 19px;">fulfilled</span><span style="line-height: 1.24;"> then happiness does not remain dependent on the money any longer.</span></div>

So my take is to lead a life having enough money ( not a lot of money) with comfort , entertainment and </span><span style="line-height: 19px;">time for</span><span style="line-height: 1.24;"> loved ones. I have been  in IT services for almost 2.5 years now and in IT your working hours are not </span><span style="line-height: 19px;">constrained</span><span style="line-height: 1.24;"> by the </span><span style="line-height: 19px;">company's</span><span style="line-height: 1.24;"> policies. You must be ready to work in the </span><span style="line-height: 19px;">stretched</span><span style="line-height: 1.24;"> hours as well. I have seen many </span><span style="line-height: 19px;">colleagues</span><span style="line-height: 1.24;"> of mine drawing very handsome salary but always keep on complaining about the work , about long hours office stay. They are really not 'happy'.</span></div>

Generally we only see that how much money we are getting by this job. We seldom think how much comfort we will get by this job. One of the reason for </span><span style="line-height: 19px;">continuing</span><span style="line-height: 1.24;"> this practice is that we all are involved in an unseen hidden race. We always are in the race to show </span><span style="line-height: 19px;">our self</span><span style="line-height: 1.24;">  in the front row in terms of  prosperity , social and economic status before the society. We always </span><span style="line-height: 19px;">think</span><span style="line-height: 1.24;"> my </span><span style="line-height: 19px;">neighbor</span><span style="line-height: 1.24;"> has purchased a BMW 7 Series Car, How can I survive now with Honda City. We should avoid that. These things never bring happiness, they can only make you to feel proud if you manage to be ahead in the race but never can give you the real happiness.</span></div>

<span style="line-height: 19px;">Its not that only I am saying this, this is the fact.</span><span style="line-height: 19px;"> </span><span style="line-height: 19px;">Recently, In a survey done in Cornell University, most of the students chose the job with higher salary with stretched working hours and high job pressure in comparison to a cool job but with lower compensation. </span></div>

<span style="line-height: 19px;">What would be your choice in this scenario? </span></div>

<span style="line-height: 19px;">My choice would be the second one. As I said earlier that once all the basic things are not an issue then we should move towards other things which really makes you happy. What's the meaning of having money if we have not time to spend it.</span></div>

After all, we are not money making machines,we are humans ,bestowed by God, with the ability to enjoy , to be happy and to make others happy.</span></div>

After Engineering What, M.Tech or MBA

point is that there is no comparison between the two courses. Both are
specialized degrees and have value in their respective fields. Both M.Tech and
MBA provide excellent career options and have gained importance in last few
years. M.Tech or MBA is always an additional advantage to an engineer whether
it is in terms of knowledge, experience or seniority. It depends on the
personal attributes of the student that should decide that which course he/she
should opt for. If one is interested in being at core technical side rather
than handling clients, project management and other managerial activities, then
M.Tech would be better choice while for those interested in the later should go

(mainly product development companies), pure engineering with master’s

M.Tech in a reputed institute like IISc Bangalore and IITs, you need to crack
GATE. (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering). 
GATE is conducted by any of the IITs or IISc every year. Forms use to be
out in the month of September and exams use to conduct in the month of
February. You can have more details for GATE exam on any of the IIT website.
There are some other prestigious institutes like IIITs also who take their own
exams as well to get students for their M.Tech courses. <o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

to pursue MBA, there are entrance exams like CAT, MAT, XAT and some others

easier to continue M.Tech in the stream as you did your Engineering, you have
many options for doing M.Tech—electronics and controls engineering, VLSI design

drives, digital communication and networking, remote sensing and GIS, information
technology, computer science and engineering, and biomedical and
instrumentation engineering to name a few. There are various interdisciplinary
courses as well in M.Tech which are open for more than one engineering stream

you learn to put your theoretical knowledge into use, but to improve upon your

job. So it is recommended to qualify the GATE exam in the final year of study
and get a job thereafter, as GATE score is valid for two years.<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

It has no sense if it is not on time.

Time is a free force. Free from any boundary , any limit.It does not wait for any one. Everyone knows  
that time and tide waits for none. The time flies and 
never returns. If you waste time it wastes you.<br />
Well, we are not here to write an essay on time but the above lines are really very true.<br />
<br />
So back with our discussion  here my point is over the timely resolution
 of the confusion state. The process of  resolving confusion is like 
hard real time system. If it is not on time, it has no sense.<br />
<br />
I know a student who spent two precious years just to decide whether to 
do M Tech or MBA. For those two years he didn't prepare even for none 
just because of this confusion and just was continuing with regular job 
in IT. Its better to be on any side rather than waiting for right choice
 selection.<br />

It should be totally your call.

Whenever you find yourself  in any dilemma, what you do?<br />
<br />

If this ‘you’ is me, I use to do goggle for the same.<br />

I use to discuss it with my friends.<br />

I use to ask the subject matter experts of the things which are the source
of all these exercises i.e. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"></span>Confusion.<br />
<br />
Every one deals confusion with his/her style and then choose a choice / 
option. Let me tell you one serious thing that GOD has bestowed us with 
one of the greatest tool to resolve this state.<br />
<br />
Though before selecting the choices we should give chance of 
discussion,advises of concerned persons but the point is that while 
selecting the final choice the strongest impetus should be given by 
one's heart. <br />
<br />
What happens that most of the times we select one of the option and 
discuss all the options just to strengthen our choice , just to have 
support for our choice , just to avoid criticism if the selected choice 
is not good enough. <br />
<br />
The selected choice may be good enough or it may not be but ultimately it should be your choice.<br />
<i>If the choice of your heart proves not to be good enough you will have satisfaction that you did of your heart.</i><br />
<i>But If its not good enough and selected by you by avoiding your 
internal call, you will always have the regret that had I heard of my 
heart , The things could be something else.</i><br />
<br />
Be safe, Avoid regrets, Have satisfactions, listen for your heart. Have a happy clear and confusion free life. </div>

Introductory Post

We all are living in more modern age as our forefathers used to live in.The
modernism and today's fast forward life has given common masses those 
facilities and comfort which were just dreams for the Kings of past.<br />
<br />
Today we
have more opportunities- more opportunities to grow, more opportunities to
progress, more opportunities for almost everything. But do you ever notice the
fact that with such more extensive choices in every field we too often get
confused with lot of things. We always are in dilemma!!<br />
<br />
Students are confused
with 'what to do after their 12th'. 'What to do after Graduation'. Which one is
better 'M.Tech or MBA’? Which college is better? Professionals are confused
with where to lead their life. Common men like me are always confused whether to
be a good person or a good professional.<br />
<br />
I observed (it’s not a big deal actually) that one's extent of confusion is
directly proportional to the number of options one have. So being a science
student I can write it as follows:<br />

Or we can rewrite it as <br />

This constant depends upon the person nature and use to be constant for

reduce confusion is to eliminate options depending on your preferences. (
 Don't you think so).<br />

So from now onwards I would like to write here for some of the dilemma
states. Most of them would be the same faced by me as I think that those
situations may confuse others as well.<br />
