Last month Motorola said that MOTO X will be available in India and Australia with some weeks. Now Flipkart , as well , confirmed that the smartphone will soon be available in India. Flipkart is the online retailer in India where the Motorola new flagship smartphone Moto G was sold. The tweets also promises exciting launch day offers, similar to ones seen with the Moto G India launch in February.

Though no date is confirmed for the launch date , but most likely the date will be 19th March - accourding to NDTV Gadgets resources.

Motorola launched the Moto X in August last as an Android smartphone that users can customize via its website called Moto Maker. Though in India the smartphones will be available only in fixed set of five colors & two wood variants. and Indian users will not get chance to customize the smartphone.

Moto X was launched in the US carrying a $579 (Rs. 35,000 approximately), but the price was recently slashed to $399 (Rs. 24,000 approximately). While a sub-Rs. 25,000 price tag in India would be ideal, it's more likely that the phone will be priced around the Rs. 28,000 mark.

The Moto X features a 4.7-inch display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels. It is powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960Pro Snapdragon processor along with 2GB of RAM. There is 16GB of inbuilt storage. It also sports a 10-megapixel rear camera accompanied by an LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

The phone original shipped with Android 4.2, but received the Android 4.4 KitKat update last year.

Both Flipkart and Motorola consider Moto G launch in India to be very successful. Moto G was priced aggressively in India and Flipkart had trouble keeping it in stock immediately after the launch. But on Thursday the company said that it has "made improvements in planning (the stock) this time around".

But the company have to keep in mind that for MOTO G there was no potential competitor in that price range but MOTO X (Rs 28000) will have to compete against phones like Nexus 5, the official Android phone that sells for Rs 28,999, and Samsung Galaxy S4, which recently got a price cut and is now available for around Rs 30,000. Both Nexus 5 and Galaxy S4 have better hardware than Moto X.
