GAIL: Recruitment of Executive Trainees Through GATE 2014

GAIL has announced the recruitment of Executive Trainees through GATE 2014. The positions are for graduate engineers in the discipline of Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and Chemical Engineering. Candidates who have applied for GATE 2014 only can apply. Check the Recruitment Details below

Selection process: on the basis of GATE score 2014 followed by Group discussion and Personal Interview.

Eligibility:

• Executive Trainee (Mechanical): Candidates must hold a Bachelor Degree in Engineering in Mechanical / Production / Production & Industrial / Manufacturing / Mechanical & Automobile with a minimum 65 % Mark
• Executive Trainee (Electrical): Candidates must hold a Bachelor Degree in Engineering in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics with a minimum 65 % Marks.

•  Executive Trainee (Instrumentation): Candidates must hold a Bachelor Degree in Engineering in Instrumentation / Instrumentation & Control / Electronics & Instrumentation / Electrical & Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical & Electronics with a minimum 65 % Marks.

•  Executive Trainee (Chemical): Candidates must hold a Bachelor Degree in Engineering in Chemical / Petrochemical / Chemical Technology / Petrochemical Technology with a minimum 65 % Marks

Note:

• Candidates in their final year may also apply on the condition that they obtain a minimum of 65% (60% for SC/ST) in their qualifying degree and furnish proof of the same by August 31, 2014.
• Qualifying Engineering Degree can be B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc. Engg.
• Candidates studying or completed a 5 year integrated dual degree in engineering in the relevant discipline (B.E / B. Tech. + M.E / M. Tech.) are also eligible

Age: not more than 28 years as on January 24, 2014 (relaxation as per rules).

Work Profile:

• Selected candidates will be on probation for one year and will be in the “E-2” grade to be confirmed as “Executive” after the probation period is over
• They may be posted in any of the company locations and will have to undertake shift duties

Emoluments:

• Candidates will be placed in the Scale of Pay 24,900–50,500 with additional emoluments like DA, HRA etc

How to apply:

• On receipt of GATE 2014 Registration number, the candidates need to apply to GAIL on-line Available from 1100 hrs on December 23, 2013 to 2400 hrs on January 24, 2014
• After submission of the GAIL Online Application, a unique Application ID along with the completed Application Forms will be generated.
• Candidates have to take a printout, affix a recent photograph in the space provided and sign in the designated place.
• If selected for the interview, candidates are required to furnish copies of their GATE 2014 Application Form, GATE 2014 Admit Card and the printout of the GAIL Online Application Form.
• The photographs in the GAIL application must be identical to the one used in the GATE 2014 Application and GATE 2014 Admit Card

Important dates:

• Submission of online GATE 2012 application: September 2- October 1, 2013
• Start of online application module (GAIL) : December 23, 2013
• Last date for applying to GAIL: January 24, 2014
