GSECL: Recruitment of Junior Engineers through GATE 2014

Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) has announced recruitment of Junior Engineers in the disciplines of Electrical, Mechanical, C & I and Civil Engineering on the basis of  the GATE 2014 scores. Candidates must appear for GATE 2014 and must apply online to GSECL separately. Check the details below

Position: Junior engineers in the disciplines of

• Electrical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• C & I Engineering
• Civil Engineering

Note: The appointment is on a contract basis for two years after which candidates with a satisfactory service record will be absorbed into the organization.

Selection process: on the basis of GATE 2014 score followed by written test  and Personal Interview.

Eligibility: Candidates must have passed full time regular B.E in Electrical/ Mechanical/ C& I and Civil with a minimum of 60% aggregate of 7th and 8th Semester (55% for Reserved categories)

Important: Knowledge of Gujarati is a must.

Age: not more than 30 years

Work Profile:

• Selected candidates will be on contract basis for two years and will be absorbed in case of a satisfactory service record after the said contract period as Junior Engineer.

Emoluments:

• Emoluments will be fixed for contract period
  For 1st year Rs.18,000
  For 2nd year Rs.20,000
• Candidates will be placed in the Scale of Pay 17300-38610 to carry gross remuneration at the present rate of DA of Rs. 34,800 if absorbed after the contract period of two years.

How to apply:

• On receipt of GATE 2014 Registration number, the candidates need to apply to GSECL on-line Available from January 15, 2014
• After submission of the GSECL Online Application, candidates have to take a printout, affix a recent photograph in the space provided and sign in the designated place.
• They are required to send the Printout of the Online Application Form along with specified documents to the address mentioned below.

Important Dates:

• Submission of online GATE 2014 application: September 2- October 1, 2013
• GSECL online application module: January 15 to 30, 2014
• Receipt of the Print out of the GSECL Online Application: February 15, 2014
